The Road To Wu Yuan

Following on from (or actually prior to !) the recent bird threads I've posted from WuYuan I thought I'd just show you the drive down there.

Most were taken through the windscreen (at speed !) though there are two where I was so enchanted by the beauty around me I stopped to take a shot.

Although these don't do the scenery justice perhaps they will at least give you a flavour and just maybe you can also get a sense of the building excitement within me as I entered this prime birding real estate !

The last shot is of my 4-wheeled love, after coming back from birding a paddy field, I just liked the way she looked through the trees.

Looks good, roads look better than the goat tracks we have.
You don't imagine that part of the crowded world to have open space.
Thanks for sharing.
C&C welcome.
Don.

Thanks Don.

The roads are great actually, way way better than in Shanghai where the incredibly high volume of traffic, and particularly over-laden goods vehicles and container semis on the ring and feeder A roads, often causes the road surfaces to disintegrate within a year or two of laying.

China has built / is building an incredible network, throughout this vast country, of what in the UK would be called motorways or dual carriageways to connect cities with the larger & medium sized towns throughout the country. All part of the plan to grow the country by encouraging metropolitanisation via better logistics.
