Had a spare half hour or so earlier so popped down the road to the beach at the end of my village to test the DA* 60-250mm with the rear baffle out on the K1. In post all I have to do is hit lens correction and then add +29 vignetting to nuke the ever so slightly dark edges.

All these were taken at 200mm to 250mm so all top end of the zoom. These are not great images, poor light and a rush to capture then but wanted to see how the lens performed and what the vignetting was like with the baffle out. Anyone else thinking of getting this lens for the K1 i say do it, the baffle was less than a 5 minute job to do!

Is this just baffle out, nothing in as a replacement?

Right now that's exactly right. Baffle is out and the mount part (to the left of the baffle) is back in/on so as it stands you can see some of the lens circuit boards etc.

Some use the lens like this 24/7 with no ongoing issues but I've emailed John Pye Technical as they're listed as the place to go for spaces on the UK Ricoh Imaging website for a price for a new baffle. I did see people also just use a roll of paper in the back to act as a baffle to stop stray light bouncing around but I plan to remove the lip in the new baffle and then re-add it so I can have it as 'stock' as normal with the option of returning it all back to APS-C later on if I need to sell it so best of both worlds.

This is the lip I'll be removing from the new baffle

The baffle can be pulled off and glued back in whenever you want, no need to buy another part.

Don't like looking at the circuit boards as there's a slight gap where I can

This is what the baffle stops you seeing as it hides it all! Hence me getting another, cutting the lip out and reinstalling it so it doesn't keep hurting my eyes
