tamron 300mm 2.8

hi all was wondering can i use the pentax 1.7x adapter with the 300mm 2.8 60b lens,does the converter go on the camera then tha adapter (pk/a)between the that and the lens hope this makes sense.

I can't see why it shouldn't work and yes, the 1.7x AF T/C attaches to the camera body, then you attach the lens to the T/C. It should also give you a degree of auto focus but you'll need to manually focus to somewhere close to focus, the T/C does the rest.

hi had a idea it may work but didnt want to buy the converter and it not work.

I use my 1.7x and Adaptall 2 lenses this way, works fine.

My 1.7x is on my 60b 300 nearly all the time with my Ds and I love the combination. I would be interested to know which body you are going to use as I have never been very happy with my results when I have used my K10, this combination seems to produce quite a lot of CA (purple fringing) in my images.

hi mick im using it on a gx10,not noticed any ca ,im on the look out for a1.7x converter now .what a cracking lens really enjoy using it.
