Port Quinn is the next inlet west from Port Isaac (crowded out these days thanks to the Doc Marten series).
It can provide a range of photographic opportunities, especially from the headland on the National
Trust property of Doyden House. Great walking and few people!

1. Totally isolated with just the odd walker and maybe a Kestrel for company.

2. Empty, almost private beaches at low tide, only reachable by sea and footpath.

3. An island called the Mouls can be relied upon to produce a nice scene or two.

4.

5. And the sunsets just keep happening.

6.

7. Doyden Castle can produce a lot of drama

8.

9. But for goodness sake, don't fall in the water!

K1 with either an FA 80-320 or an A series 50mm macro (great for conventional use).
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Love 'em all.
CHEERS Vic.
Born again biker with lots of Pentax bits. Every day I wake up is a good day. I'm so old I don't even buy green bananas.

I woz there last week! Well nearly, about 1/4 mile to the west at the cove in no. 2. I love this set and great sunset shots, where I was the sun was obscured by the headland so I will have to remember this; I just find the very narrow lanes into Port Quinn a bit nerve-wracking when itís busy.

The sunsets are, indeed, beautiful but that little boat just makes No4 for me.

It's the way the road disappears beneath the front of the car that gets me. You only see how steep it is when it reappears
and you are hanging from the seat belt!
Did you meet any of the local spiders? They are enormous!
