I quite like that site and it’s a good article.

That discussion about what level of automation is acceptable, to feel like you are still part of the photography process, is especially valid. I’ve read quite a few that say they stop thinking about composition when using the tracking AF for example, and are then disappointed by the results.

Interesting to read this in conjunction with what Ricoh/Pentax have recently said about their future direction and decision not to develop mirrorless.

Mind you, I can't help thinking that it's less about finding the perfect camera and more about finding out what you really want from a camera.

Great point. Seems to be a split between what it’s like to shoot with, and then later what it’s like to develop the final image. Missing focus on the eye in portraits for example might be fun to take but very disappointing at the other end, so a combo of nice to use and technically capable seems ideal.

Just wanted to say thank you for sharing my article on here. It is very much appreciated and I appreciate you taking the time to read it. I am very happy that I have joined the Pentax family. I haven't looked back since first picking up the K1 II.
