Some Sorrento film pics

On part 2 of our honeymoon (really, part 2.5) we spent a week in Sorrento at the beginning of May.
I had the incredible foresight to take an ME Super that I received from this parish, along with my SMC-M 24mm f/3.5, SMC-M 35mm f/2.8, SMC-M 50mm f/1.7 and SMC-K 135mm f/2.5.

I thought I’d get a few photos up intermittently because, really, why take photos and not share them?!
The below taken on Kentmere 400, developed by Southsun labs and ‘scanned’ on my colleagues Nikon D3300 before being converted in Lightroom with Negative Lab Pro. I obviously did no dust removal.

Thanks for sharing, superb set and highlights the retro enchantment that only film can deliver

These are great....

But for some reason the second one tickles me tinkle!! Think it's because it's lovely and contrasty!

Thanks Rick! Next lot of film shots I go out and take might well be with a certain little 40mm f/2 lens...

It's a beauty - my colleague pointed out something that I think gives it the edge. My wife is facing in one direction, centrally, away from the camera and everyone else is walking towards it! Very happy with how it came out. Thanks for the kind words!

Lovely set. Can't beat a bit of film noir.

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!

Nice. I always like to take a little film SLR on holiday wherever possible.

I think you might mean SMC-M 28mm f/3.5 as there were no M series 24mm lenses. Or maybe a K series 24/3.5?

You're absolutely right and I cannot edit it now - it was indeed the 28mm! Not sure how I made that typo, especially as I don't own any 24mm...

Also, thanks! It's definitely the way to go (I won't dwell on a roll of Kodak Gold 200 slipping after the first frame in Sorrento... missed a good number of shots on the boat trip to Positano, too. Actually gutted about it! )

Then maybe you should acquire a lovely little SMC 24mm Takumar. You won't be disappointed....

Note to self: Oh for Christ's sake, Ben, get names right at least!

So sorry! I'm going to blame it on only a few hours sleep last night - younger doggo was up barking at 3am, then fussing to go outside. Once she did, she was sick twice so 11-3am was about the extent of my sleep last night!

(Thanks for taking this in good humour, though)

T-minus 1 hour until work is done, half hour cycle home, then cook/eat food before the inevitable 20 minutes on the sofa 😂
