Thought I'd share some from this morning, all taken at Shermanbury - not in chronological order. The river is the Adur. It was cold...

Some good shots. My fave is No.2 followed by No.10. Does look very cold although at least it was sunny.

Good to see such nice use of light and angles, and you've captured a strong sense of atmosphere in these. My favourites are 2, 5 & 9 .....

1 is lovely with its light and colour, but marred by that annoying brightening halo effect behind the tree. Its a total pain that issue, I'm think we all get it, and I don't know of any easy processing fix for it.

The last three are really good, definitely hover between abstract and botanical!

All good shots, and 3, 4, and 5, are my choices - as well as being my favourites of the tree shots, I can really feel the frosty morning in those!

Cheers.

Thanks everyone for the comments; the last three were all taken with the Tamron 90mm macro lens.

McGregNi - re the halo-effect; yes it is a pain - thankfully not too pronounced in this one.

Andy, I was thinking about it again, and I need to try it on one of my images, but surely a logical processing approach to use would be a bit of Burn tool, set to Highlights ..... a sweep around the tree might just bring the brighter sky down without darkening the tree itself. The key would be to be able to blend with the surrounding sky, but I suppose it could be done.

Yeah, if it's too much of an issue, you'd simply want to darken that highlight range Nigel.

That said, I really like these. I didn't think was too bad in this image, not like that HDR by product.

What I really liked about these was the minimalist treatment. I find that difficult to do. It looks really still and almost dream like, and I really liked these.
