According to this, the K-m is discontinued. RIP (unless a K-m super follows).

Is it discontinued or they no longer stock the camera?

It may be discontinued from their own stocked lines, seeing that they have removed all the pentax bodies and don't mention the K7.

No - the K-7 is in stock for $1,280 dollars. It would be a very sad day for Pentax if B&H stopped stocking them: if that happened given they are the largest photo store in America (and possible the world?) there would frankly be little point in continuing...

There is "rumour" of a new K-m being announced this month to compete with the entry level Canons and Nikons.

I was browsing a camera magazine yesterday whilst waiting for a train and one of the features was to find "The best digital SLR for under 500", and the winner is.... The Pentax K-M! I realise that might not be everyone's opinion but the test seemed reasonable objective, and on that basis surely It would be a strange decision to discontinue it right now (??)

The KM and the K2000 are one and the same camera. Funny thing is the specs on most digital cameras are all the same, I talking about cameras within a pixel rangs say 10. Anyway I had the choice of a Nikon which gave the exately same specs and functions as the Pentax but chose the pentax as the view finder on the Pentax was far brighter under the same light comditions. Well having owned a few pentax's over the years, S1a, Spotmatic II, ME and ME Super, and haveing used other makes as well helped. So one can say I have a fondness for Pentax. The S1a was my first SLR.
I can shoot it ....

What a shame, I think the K-m is great little D-SLR and it doesn't seem to be been around for very long at all.
