Judge for yourself. All taken with the S-M-C Takumar 200mm f/4 lens.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

No real problem with the quality of the lens. Just the price since there's a buy it now on ebay for £80

I think you should keep an eye on eBay because I managed to pick one up in excellent condition for £40, I think its worth waiting if your not in any hurry for it.

I think £40 for the SMC version is far more realistic than £100 although it will be worth £100 to the person who pays it

thanks ColK10, that one is a Super Takumar and he is also selling the one i am looking at which is an SMC Super Takumar. i assumed the SMC was the last model before the K mount and may be better quality. alledgedly in mint condition.
i take your comments on board as well Ken, not even a minty for £100 then, that,s ok i can wait. thanks everybody

It's also worth looking out for the Tele-Takumar 200 F5.6 Pre-set version. Quite rare in comparison, slower aperture but that is not a massive issue on modern DSLR's. Not SMC though. I managed to buy an absolutely mint one for £25 and the image quality is very good. Lovely lens to use, it is very small and light compared to the F4 and I like the pre-set aperture.
