I should know, but does this work with SDM lenses?
DaveHolmes
Posted 13/07/2013 - 20:33 Link
I'm sorry, I don't have any SDM lenses so I can't say for sure... It works with my DA and FA lenses (in that when you part focus them manually the adapter finishes it off...

Hope that helps...

This adapter works with the DA*300. As Dave says a manual tweak and then it focuses fast and efficiently

No i beliewe it will not work with SDM as it's missing contacts for SDM.

Works absolutely fine with SDM lenses, such as the DA*300.

This is more than a converter. It is an adapter which will also autofocus even manual lenses

Full AF? No messing about, just bung it on and take great pictures like your hares?

Not Full AF on any lens.

The adapter AF does not function fully between the minimum focus distance and infinity. You have to manually focus to the vicinity of the target, and then let the adapter AF take over.

I also have the Sigma 150-500. But I often take the DA*300 and the 1.7x instead if I'm going to be carrying for any distance.

Got it, thanks. Not too much of a hardship then for 1.7x extra focal length.
