SMC P-A f5.6 400mm

Hi,
Does anyone have any experiences with this lens please. I'd be using it on my K10D.

The only pic I've seen so far is of a wild turkey but there seems to be a lot of CA in the shot.

Do you mean the Pentax SMC-A 400mm F5.6?

I have one, and it displays a lot less CA than the Sigma A-series 400mm F5.6.

Here's a comparison of the two at F5.6 - 100% crops with the Sigma at the top:

Thanks Chris. I think it must be the lens you have. These are lovely photographs. I'm very tempted.

I've been very pleased with it - it's a thing of beauty, though something of a beast. A pound heavier than the Sigma 400mm, not easily hand-held, at least not for long.

Here's a pic of them, both with lens hoods retracted:
