Probably worth £30 - £39 if you sell it. Quite useful
on film for portraits or as a 200mm equivalent on Digital.
I can't remember what it was like wide open, but it's very
sharp at f/5.6 - f/8.

Was trying it out in the garden and soon found my limitations of hand holding and trying to keep sharp focus 
I'll have to try it out at all the settings using a tripod. Might be a handy size for doing a sparrow/starling/pigeon watch. Wonder how it will perform on the K3

Should be worth the GDP of a small country when the
Ricoh AS-IF full frame comes out and drives up prices
of 28mm, 50mm and 135mm lenses
300mm is really the minimum for birds on APS-C
The 135mm f/3.5 doesn't focus very close either.

It's a decent lens. I take mine on holiday to have a long lens for occasional use as it's a lot smaller and lighter than my 55-300, plus 35mm-compatible as I tend to pack a film SLR these days too.
