Hello guys need your help on this one. How much should I be paying for for one of these lenses or equivalent in a decent condition. Also how great is it on a K20d or a K10d after reading few reviews I thought is best to ask from here. I have seen one on ebay at the moment for £400 starting bid.

Or if anyone has one for sale at a decent price.
thanks.

I would say that's well over the top ... maybe that amount for a used OS version but not the HSM II.

There has been about 5 different models of the 70-200mm f2.8, starting with the APO EX (non hsm, non macro) and ending with the new OS version (there were macro and macro HSM versions inbetween).

The best (sharpest wide open) was the original APO EX (I recently sold mine on here for just over £400) and the new OS lens (which I replaced my original lens with)

You should really pay no more than £500 for a HSM II and personally I think that is too much .. also look at the Tamron 70-200mm f2.8.
