He's been trying to sell that for months.

Had it been the DG EX version I may have considered it though, one of the very few lenses I regret selling.

I so want one but at that price he's dreaming. It's a legend of a lens, but that doesn't deter from the fact that it's a very old lens now and doesn't command that price. I've had this very lens on a watch for months and if it gets posted at a reasonable price I may pounce, but until then......

you can get the 150 mm macro from slrhut and that is new at £629 and thats a ex dg model oh and 2.8

Didn't realise he`d been trying to sell it for a long time as I only just came across it by accident. As for price I suppose it depends on what someone will pay that makes for whether it is worth it or not. I must admit I overpaid for mine (although it is a DG EX) but it was what I wanted at the time and as they don't come round very often I bit the bullet and went for it. I don't use it very often but it still turns out sharp shots when I do. Last time of use was the one of the two butterflies together in my portfolio pics on this site.
