hi all.
I posted a while ago that my sigma 150-500 hsm os wouldn't lock focus. well, I sent it off and they replaced an mr sensor, but they contacted me and said that the lens was still "very soft", and they wanted to send it off to japan for recalibration, all included in the repair price of £146.
Sigma have just rang, and said that the lens cannot be repaired/re-calibrated to acceptable levels. they have offered a brand new, straight from the factory, 50-500 hsm os with a 3 year warranty as a direct replacement....only the repair fee to pay.
very happy with that.....
well done sigma uk.

Fair play to Sigma...thats excellent customer service in action and a great result for you. Such a shame that they are reducing their PK compatible line-up, particularly as Pentax have got such big holes in their product offerings at longer than mid-tele.

Sigma Imaging UK are a great bunch of guys - serviced my 150-450 HSM OS, in 2014 IIRC, and, then, by a miracle were able to repair my 100-300 F4 with an AF module (probably the last one there was !) for £69 in 2015!

And, by comparison, they are they are a lot better (and cheaper!) than Johnsons are for Pentax repairs
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

And I forgot to say that when they checked the 150-500 HSM OS because I thought it was very slow to focus they could not find anything wrong, and then refused to charge me anything at all - even though I offered to pay the return postage. Amazing customer service!

BTW: in case you did not know, that lens is just plain slow to focus "out of the box" because it has a very long focusing rotation and the mechanism is heavy - whereas the 100-300 F4 is the complete opposite = short rotational movement and much quicker to respond (especially with the K-3 & K-3 II).
