Not the DG version though.

FFordes have a habit of describing Sigma lenses wrong where Pentax are concerned ... they advertised my 500mm as HSM.

Good deal, that. I wonder how it compares to the proper DG version?
All the gear with no idea

Actually I got it wrong, it's the MKI DG version, from the pictures it looked like just the APO.

From my limited testing (and having had multiple copies of the MKII DG lens) it compares very well indeed. Every time I sell my 100-300mm f/4 I regret it as they really are a superb lens.

Totally agree the 150-450mm is the better lens but then it should be considering the cost.

Tbh, I had a 150-450 but didn’t like the ergonomics (or the weight) so I sold it on, & with my FA* 400 & sigma 100-300 plus the tele converters I’m pretty well covered😉
Oh yes Sorry Mike for nicking one from in front of you😟

Taking into account inflation, the 100 -- 300 was what £600 ish new roughly 15+ years ago, can't be much difference compared to a 150 - 450 in today's money, im sure someone better than me will give us the answer

I paid £400 for mine in 2009 at Jacobs on Oxford Street.

Shame noone rode to the rescue of Jacob's. Given the complete lack of interest I had from Jessops staff in Kingston on saturday, they could not care less...

I only hope that the buyer realised that if it should break, then there aren't any spares still available from Sigma!
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

For £189 posted I think it's worth the risk, especially as it comes with 6 months warranty.
