Apologies but not now interested in this lens because, it seems, it is not Internal Focus (IF) and does extend a long way - and thus, if my past experience with the 150-500 is anything to go by, will probably focus more slowly than I would want.
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

Hi Phill,
Is there different versions of this lens as yours has that grey flocked look and another I've looked at which is also the APO DG HSM OS, is more of a shiny smooth black finish?

It's the same lens. When the OS range was first introduced they were all the flock type but Sigma changed over to the smooth finish half way through the life of the lens. There are 120-400mm, 150-500mm and 50-500mm OS lenses out there that are actually made up of both types as Sigma used them at the same time.
