Before going on a hike today I checked the K3 manual and found out how to increase the illumination of the OFV metering information from 10 seconds to 30. Later at the hiking area I turned on the camera and it, in effect, said "we notice you have a manual focus lens installed. What is its focal length?" I specified 85mm. When I prepared to take the first photo the metering information was clear and useable.
The day was heavily overcast and I wanted to see how well this very large-light-gathering lens would do on such a day. I guess it did okay, but not as well as on the previous time out which was on a much brighter day.
So I guess the shots of today don't prove anything, but I posted a few in the December 2015 gallery anyway.
