Hi from Rob in Newent, Glos.
From k1000,to super A 35mm to fuji 502s its heaven to now have a K5, bought the body only, as I am using all my old lenses and filters to start.28mm,50mm, 75-200, 75-210 +2x +bag full of filters and dedicated flash for the superA that would not work with the superA but works great with the K5. lol.
local camera shop lent me the 18 to135 to try for a couple of weeks, lovely lens especialy if your into point and click, I am happy to go forward, But there is just something about composing your own shot, whether it works or not, thats the challenge (like lying down on a vinyard floor to get the right angle that you want on the barrels) auto setting does not do That for you.
Anyway its great to be back with a Pentax again.

ps the little green button always makes me grin (does it have some sort of super power we ask?)lol

No creature of habit this one, progress and new technology is fantastic, I for one am up for techno;
Budgets tend to govern my equipment now, but having said that the second I can lay my hands on the the 499 for the 18-135 it will be on my treasured camera,fell in love with it whilst on loan to me.
Not Knocking any of pentax equipment, Yes a bag full of kit is like a walk down memory lane. Heavy as it is.

Hi Rob and welcome.

You're fortunate to have such a helpful camera shop - I assume it is RS Photographic? Hope you enjoy the forum - I have had many questions answered, been given some good tips, and bought & sold several Pentax items on here - there are some very helpful people on here

All the best

Yes it is R S photgraphic, Neil and Neil both realy helpfull in every way, with no bull from them, I have now bought a telescope and camera from them at very good prices and will purchase lenses from them too, you could not wish to meet a more helpful crew, (forget Jessops and the like.)
