Repair or replace?

Unfortunately my K30 took a tumble this morning, I was using it on a tripod with the wired remote control connected. The internal connection for the remote control seems broken from the circuit board and sits inside the camera housing now. Apart from the loss of this connection everything else still works fine.

Just trying to make up my mind, should I send it to a service centre for a quote ..guess it will be very expensive to have it repaired anyway ..or replace it?

Can anyone recommend a repairer please? Comment Image

Personally I would not bother getting it repaired as you can get a great deal on a k 50 for probably not much more than the repair cost.

Could you use a remote controller instead of the wired controller

I have tried that when I came home this morning but the wireless controller doesn't work on the other body either, probably empty battery.. so can't test it just now.
Apart from that the K30 can only receive cordless remote signal on the front of the body which is not very useful to me.
