Have you tried the hdmi video out ports?
Have not been near this in a while but from memory you could make the image appear on an external monitor, but I'm not sure if the overlay images were also exported too.

I used to use the video out connection to feed into a digital projector for teacing purposes and that shows whatever you can see on the screen. Then it's a matter of recording it, perhaps one of the media players/recorders?

HDMI out to PC via an HDMI-USB adapter, OBS Studio link to capture what's on the live view screen. That's what I use with my macro rig to get a good view of what's on the live view screen (not just bigger is better, the position of the camera means I'd do myself an injury looking at its fixed screen :shock. I don't actually record anything for macro but could do just by clicking on a button or two - and I know it will work because it has recorded some other things. OBS Studio will also live stream, so if you ever get into live online tuition or webinars... And it's free .
