Thought I'd show you fine chaps a quick selection of some random shots of Chester I've taken on a few visits into the city centre.

The first two were taken with the Tamron 18-250 and the rest with the Sigma 10-20.

Hello

I have not been on line much lately so the comments have not been flowing from me lately

I like the fact you have a few different views of Chester that you don't always see - number 4 is the only one I cannot place - I probably should know it as I work in Chester - where is number 4 taken :

Number 6 is not a view I have seen in a photo before - I like it
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

Hi Stuey, glad you like them. I do always try to find unique shots rather than the mundane 'we've all seen it before'

Number 4 was taken by the canal near Telfords Warehouse.

The pic is the other side of this building if that helps.

We were in Chester a couple of weeks ago on the return journey back from France i have not had the chance to sort out the photo,s yet there are so many. I took a load of a busker with an electric violin and a drum machine he was great.

A tighter crop on 2 as suggested by a Flickr contact:

Nice shots. Image 1 would be a lot nicer though to my eye if you backed up a little bit on the contrast. These shots in BW are always nicer when they are a little softer. Street seen shots are great!!!!

Shame on me the number of times I have wobbled to and from Telfords Warehouse over the years I should have recognised this - I used to have friends who lived in Gladstone Avenue so I have graced the area as mentioned above

You really have! Just for the sake of it, here are a few more I've taken of Chester Canal over the years:

Ooh I love no.3 from the last set. Very mystical and eerie. The last one's great too. Heh... roll on autumn! My least favourite time of year, but great for photography at least ;P

Good set Bob, number 2 is easily my favourite of the original batch though. I do like the crop, although I would also be interested to see it with some of the ruined walls there. It reminds me of a gladiator stepping out onto the sand. Drew a pretty box on your Flickr page

There's some excellent work there Bob. I most enjoyed #3, the road shot in the first series, and in your second series the canalside photos are top rate.
