Set 3: Jokimaa; no5 with all wheels off is good, just a shame about the armco.

Is the harbour in Lahti?

Set 4: Harbour; no 2 with the young boy and his ear defenders, he is either bored or interested not to sure, but a good shot.

Regards
Colin

yeah, I agree on the armco and tried to get a Media pass. It's pretty obvious after this that I need one if I want to get the shots I'd like. Still, I have a chance on one of those for next year

Yes, the harbour is in Lahti - it was the ceremonial start on Thursday and finish on Saturday.

That looks exactly like my sort of event Bret, some fantastic classics there like the 037 and some nice images there too. I particularly like No.1 from Set 1, and the forrest/gravel shots. Is that a Lada in set3 No. 4, or Fiat 124? I have a soft spot for the rally Fiats and Ladas. Got any more pics of it?

On a photographic level I think many of the images would benefit from a mild contrast boost.

It's an Estonian Lada. I have a couple more, I think... I will go look.

I've already upped the contrast on a lot of these using blackpoint changes... but yes, I see now that several of those from Jokimaa really should have more contrast.

I need to review the complete set for publication this week so I'll maybe have time to redo a couple and post 'em up.

Thanks for the comments!

I like these almost as much as my 7 year old son Rhys does.

He hasn't been to a rally as yet but thses pictures appear to have inspired him

Rhys really likes the one of the little one wearing the ear defenders and the Citroen in number 7
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

ear defenders are absolutely essential on the forest stages - it's not as loud as firearms but it's pretty close.
