My sigma 17-70 is correctly recognised.
My Sigma 30/1.2 and Sigma 135-400 share the same ID. they also both need AF adjustment, which is different for each K-5 as follows
Sigma 30/1.4 K-5 #1 0 K-5 #1 +2
Sigma 135-400 K-5 #1 +5 K-5 #1 +9
To get around this, I only use the 30/1.4 on K-5 #1 and only use the 135-400 on K-5 #2

Many, many professionals do need focus adjustment. That's why Pentax put the custom option in their higher end dSLRs Matt
...is it the photographer that needs adjustment or the camera? (sorry, couldn't resist that!)
