Pulled the trigger ....

Went ahead and ordered the K20D with 16-45mm lens. At £699 from Warehouse Express, and 0% finance, just could not resist! The DA* 16-50 would have been nice, but not for a further £300 outlay. This way I can see how this lens is, and then go back for the 100 f2.8 macro at a later date if I fancy it.

Only problem is they have none in, and it could be a few weeks before they get them back in stock, so will have to be a bit patient - nevermind.

Will keep you posted on how I get on when it arrives.

I think you'll be very happy with that combo and the 100 macro would make an excellent later addition.
