Power Pack on AF 540 FGZ ii

I have a power pack for my AF 540 FGZ flash but there is no way to fit a power pack to my AF 540 FGZii. Have any of you Tech guys found a work around to use a power pack on a AF 540 FGZii Not to drastic and not to much butchery. I also have two power packs for my old AF 400 hammer head guns. I'm sure someone out there has worked it out.

I may be wrong here, but I have a feeling that there might be a voltage issue with the power pack for the FGZ and the FGZii which is why there is no socket for the power pack on the latter
