Are Jessops possibly trying to clear stock ?
If you click on the in-stock option then only 2 pentax lenses show up, this and the FA77 !
peculiar

Hi folks
is this the new DA-L version with the synthetic bayonet supposed to be released about the same time as the K-m or the original one with the metal bayonet ? I know the website says with quickshift, I just wondered what arrived for those who have bought one.

With the extra £10 discount offer this week it was just too good to pass up. I wasn't intending to buy this lense at all, I was just going to wait until I have the money for some faster sharper glass. At £43.88 delivered though it's a bargain (just a shame there's not a £50 cashback offer on this model as that'd have sorted my xmas shopping for the whole family)
Will help me in choosing new lenses though (with regards to focal length requirements)
I'm sure when I'm ready I can pop it on ebay with a small markup to cover paypal fees & endup not being out of pocket. If it turns out to be a decent performer I may well keep it as a lightweight option anyway.
