I've decided to stick my head above the parapet and have applied for a Royal Photographic Society Distinction.

How could I forget...? I sent off a panel for LRPS pre-assessment only 2 weeks ago! Waiting to see what initial feedback they have before I book to have it formally assessed...

My plan is to concentrate on street/urban photography a bit more. I keep wasting my time going after landscapes when that's never been particularly rewarding or successful for me.

Maybe it helps to set some goals along the route to help achieve those things?
"I want to take better photographs" is a constant aim. My 2nd item in the list abv is one way of hopefully taking better (or different at the very least) shots than I have done previously.

You should have taken yourself as well! Really worthwhile feedback, in my case from the VP of the RPS amongst others as well as seeing other people's work and listening to their feedback. A very enjoyable day with friendly talented people.
Will, neither of your web site links work for me.

I know that feeling .
Totally lacking inspiration at the moment. There's only so many autumnal pictures one can take (which wasn't many as the weather was so diabolical).
However my plan is to spend more time taking photos indoors. Still lifes, close ups, that sort of thing. I don't have lights or anything to help apart from my single AF 360FGZ, but it will, hopefully, be fun trying.
I have a couple of outings I hope to make if the weather is up to it too.
I also hope to get my family to sit for a series of portraits. But I don't hold out much hope .
There is a sort of workshop/course (an "Atelier") being run at our AE centre, with the theme of See Colour. I am toying with giving that a try. I gave up on the last one I tried as I couldn't couldn't relate to the theme. Not sure I can relate to this one either tbh.

Finish scanning my old negatives (About a thousand done, only 15 thousand to go...)
Tag all my photos
I reckon those two things will take at least 6 months

Milky water effects on dams and waterfalls (I know how to do it, I've just never got around to carrying ND filters and a tripod up there)
Another roll of Ilford SFX, saving it for snow as I want to see how that comes out with infra-red.
Print more - at present I have an album which I'm slowly filling with what I consider to be my best results. I've also been printing on canvas-effect paper which gives an interesting grain to images. Luckily our local Tesco has inoffensive A4 frames cheaply but I'm beginning to run out of wall space!

I have a pretty specific one...
Capture a few photos of a snow-covered Snowdon refecting in Llynnau Mymbyr (lake). Despite all the snow last year still conditions were rare so little/no reflection, fingers crossed for another year - I've been trying for 4yrs so far !!

My plans & ambitions for the next few months are as follows:
- Get at least 20 shots printed up into a physical portfolio
- Get out more than once this winter to the Norfolk Broads when there's a heavy frost or mist and add some diversity to some of the shots I've previously taken
- Organise all of my film/slides & scan the ones that are worth scanning
- Import into Lightroom & organise at least one directory of images a week
- Get to and maintain over £100 a month in print sales via my new website
I think it helps to start with a plan!
Maybe others ambitions/plans will spark some additional inspiration!
