i was shocked to read about pentax stopping making 35mm slrs and all the negative talk about the brand
im37 ive used pentax since i was 12 i own a photographic studio my main cameras are pentax me supers my studio cameras are pentax super As
i only use SMC optics
if pentax stop making 35mm film cameras i suggest you start buying them thay are photographic history and in years to come thay will be collectors peices
i used to be involved in motorsport and all the top pros use nikon and cannon but only because thay dont pay for them
modern auto focus lenses work on contrast and as such are not pin sharp
my pentax SMC lenses will knock spots off any nikon or cannon lens costing ten to twenty time the price
i bought a pentax 135-600 f6.7 lens two years ago and i put it up against a sigma 170-500 f6.3 the to didnt compair
yes the sigma was lighter (nearly 3.5kg ) and was more compact but the image quality was poor in comparison with the SMC optic
ENJOY YOUR CAMERA AND YOUR OPTICS JUST REMEMBER PENTAX WERE THE BEST WHEN NIKON AND CANNON AND MINOLTA WERE KNOWBODY !!!!!!
