Should anyone be after a Pentax A* 1200mm there's one located in Redcar available on eBay.

Price not too bad at under 5K (by a penny.)
I'd love it but don't think i can justify it! Not sure what I'd use it for other than weight lifting practice (8.5 Kg.)

Now THAT would bring poser superiority to any Canon-infested bird hide! Pity it doesn't come with a trolley to wheel it around with though. Sample photos look stunning. Mmmm, might get a job sneaking that in unnoticed though.

So, if you put the 1.7 Autofocus TC on it you will effectively have a 2040mm AF telephoto... Perfect for taking migrating swallows from the UK as they cross France then.

2 stops faster than my current 1000mm & MUCH better IQ.
Very tempting except the price is somewhat more than my lens fund has available...
