Well, put it this way. There are no new ones left and the fat-heads at Ricoh haven't bothered to produce a follow-up model.
Best wishes,
Andrew

I don't want to interfere but if you don't already own one of these cameras and you're thinking you'd like something smaller than a DSLR that still produces great RAW images...

And you're completely correct.
Prices of these are only going to increase ( until they release a newer version which does not seem likely.)
And with the brass ends and solid build of the MX-1 the investment should be a safe one for a buyer.
I just have so many cameras I never use I've had to choose the 3 I use least and try and move them on.

Bruce
Damn... If i could as much as i could not i would definitely snap it from your hands. Unless you would like to swap.

I'm embarrassed to say the MX-1 and Canon EOS M are the ones I use most while my lovely DSLRs are locked away gathering dust. Some photographer eh?
Best wishes,
Andrew

I recently came to the exact same conclusion and have done the same as you, however the MX-1 is the camera I chose to keep. The K-01, the K-50 and the original Q plus all my K-mount lenses went. Reason was, the MX-1 was the camera I picked up the most often.

Hi Andrew
Looking through your work tells me you are a great photographer....
I think I'm a gear freak...buy a better lens then don't really use it if results not perfect straight off.
Still not found anything that gives me better results than my 18-135kit lens...and I find the KS2 more enjoyable to use than the k3...I always worry about not having the right lens with me when I should just be out taking pics.
If I don't get the money I'm looking for may well give the mx1 another go and maybe even try it in good conditions and with the dslrs at home....

Lovely camera I just don't use it hence the really low shutter count.
