Pentax K3 ii -16-85 lens

This may seem a strange kind of question I have a Ricoh GR11 16 mp camera and am thinking of buying the above camera K3ii and 16-85 lens would I see Much difference in IQ I mostly always shoot landscapes at low ISO thanks for your help paul

There's an increase in fine detail and I think you would notice it.

Thanks John SRS are really tempting me at the moment k3 ii 16-85 for £997 😀

Perhaps another consideration is the versatility of a zoom against a fairly wide prime lens?

A lot will depend on how large you view your images or how much cropping you do. The Sensor in the Ricoh GRII is superb and is more than capable of large (12" x 8") prints or full screen images with perfect detail, if you crop heavily then that is where the greater number of pixels of the K3II will help greatly - and as John says, the versatility of the zoom is a real benefit.

If you need a compact, lightweight, high IQ landscape camera then I think you've already got the right tool. If you want to branch out a bit more then the K3II with that zoom will give you so much more flexibility but at the cost of weight and size.

Just picked up the K3ii /16-85 combo and the 15mm HD f4 just need some half decent weather now ..🌤
