Good to see a choice of more than one colour. Well done Pentax.

And for those of us who don't read Japanese, there is some stuff on the UK site.

ETA: SRS seem to be listing it too.
SteveH!

Some people call me 'strange'.
I prefer 'unconventional'.
But I'm willing to compromise and accept 'eccentric'.

Just still missing real SR in video mode by the looks of it

You're waiting ...? What is it that you're waiting for, specifically, in 'entry level' terms .?

Have they never tried a Nikon or Canon?

Or come to that a Sony, Panasonic, Olympus, .... Kodak, Casio

Should rephrase "waiting " to somethng else but a low price entry level camera .
There needs to be some clarificacation between the ranges.

And yes I am aware the ks1 can be purchased at bargain price .(entry level price).

Looks nice but not a big step up from the K-S2.

The K50 seems to have picked up the lead in budget terms, it's amazing value ... But is it ' entry level' ?

Maybe every level is creeping up higher and higher. The days of a cheap and basic, no frills option, seem long gone. Now its more the case that they keep bolting on high end features from the top models.

What will we see next .... An article in 'Stuff' magazine comparing AA filter simulator effectiveness across the range .... ?

The Latest Posts right says it's an update on the K50 -does that mean a replacement? If it's in the same price range as the K50 was then it looks pretty impressive, you can't say they are not trying. Pentax needs features like these to distinguish from the competition, I was in LCE this morning and the bloke said he hadn't sold a Pentax in 18 months (had he even offered one?) and there is a generation who haven't heard of it; not surprising as the only K-1 he had was in it's box under the counter along with the others. Pentax now has the products, time for big full page advertising like Olympus.
