These were on ebay for a further 7 days after my original PU post. I would have hoped that would be sufficient.

I didn't see your original post but when I did I responded straight away. I'd have paid the asking price for the lens I enquired about without hesitation. There are some of us that will do that. Also, I don't use e-bay. I said to let me know if the items didn't sell and got what I considered to be a rude response.

Having a dig at the Pentax community isn't really necessary, is it?

I have had stuff for sale on here for months then all of a sudden I will get a message asking if the item is still available. I would much rather sell here than Ebay, on the whole people here are totally above board which is more than I can say for the other place.

Anyway, enjoy your new kit.

Thanks for your observation. It seems that the PU is a casual aquaintance with most. I would have hoped to sell to Pentaxians, but it seems not. Sadly, my mistake.
Onwards and upwards for Pentax.

Hmmmm... I did look at the list and concluded that it covered essentially the same ground as my basic kit so of no interest to me. So I wonder whether part of the reason for this equipment not selling on here is because what was for sale is a good, general purpose kit. That's a positive comment about the kit, it's the sort of thing that anyone can do a lot of good stuff with. But by the same reasoning, it's the sort of thing that many, if not most, of us on this forum will probably already have. And if we don't, there's probably a reason. Doesn't mean that there aren't people 'out there' who wouldn't be interested, but they aren't necessarily looking at this forum - it certainly isn't the case that every Pentax user ('Pentaxian') is a member of Pentaxuser.

Steve, this is a fair summation and some items did sell here, so not a total washout. In the end, people will only buy what they need.

Interesting items at good to very good prices but since Brexit has put the kybosh on my folks sending me stuff to Spain and Covid has put the kybosh on flying over to visit (and collect goodies), I have to say "no" to a lot of stuff I'd otherwise be very interested in.

I have found it slow selling on here myself and in the end got better a really good PEx deal from SRS. What I found interesting though is that when SRS offered them for higher prices in their shop the items didn't hang around for long.

Perhaps everyone is saving up for a K3iii or in Mike's case a K3iv with flappy screen for £2400

Me? apart from maybe the 150-450 I've got all the Pentax kit I need for now.
Z-1p, K-1, P50
F50 1.7. FAs 24, 35, 50 1.4, 85, 135. DFA15-30, DFA24-70, D-FA*70-200. D-FA 100 (gone now!). The SMC-FA Limited Trinity.
Metz 45 CL-4, AF500FTZ. AF540FGZ.
Some Mamiya and some Nikon

No more Pentax gear for me, mine is slowly finding it's way to other homes.

Bought a Sony A9, not perfect for my type of shooting but pretty damned close.

Sorry to resurrect this post but I'm just here to say goodbye.
I have just sold my camera and all lenses to MPB.

Never posted much in my time here other than this section to buy a good few lenses from you friendly bunch, so didn't feel it warranted a brand new post

Thanks to all the people who played a part in expanding my Pentax world.
Keep safe, keep happy and keep shooting!

So long, and thanks for all the fish.

Mike.

There are plenty of fish in the sea and they aren't all in this little inlet.

Have fun, whatever you do.

Good luck on your journey lad.

I've noticed there's a bunch of reasonably priced Pentax goodies just appeared on MPB, maybe some of them are yours. Worth checking out I would say!

Mike.
