Pentax cable release
If the button is not threaded, then you will most likely need an electrical cable release from Pentax.
Whatever, your local shop will tell you if you take the camera in. If it's a mechanical release, don't pay more than £5.00.
If it's just for a one-off occasion, I have in the past been able to do wonderful (well, workable) things with a standard release, a pencil (to act as a splint) and some selotape. Necessity is the mother of invention.
Looking at the manual on page 33, the shutter release looks like the old mechanical type. It's not electronic
You may find there's a little screw thread where the release goes.
Doing a search on Altavista, yields this:

Described as a "standard mechanical release".
Looks like you need to go rummaging around the second hand shops. If you get really stuck, I have a shorter, metal braided one, that we might be able to arrange
Hope that helps!

Best thing is take the camera to a shop. They'll have a standard release and can try it there and then.
