Pentax Battery Died - And it's My Newest

I have three original Pentax batteries. I took all three on holiday and two were fine, but the newest is totally dead. On putting it in the charger, the green light comes on for five seconds and then goes off. I can only assume it must have got so flat that it's dead.
My K3ii seems to totally flatten batteries and I suspect it's flattened it so much as to kill it. I have had a K20D and I still have a K5. If I leave a battery in the K3ii for a few days the battery ends up so flat that the camera doesn't even recognise it.
Does anyone have any tips to revive the battery. I have AA batteries that sometimes go so flat that my fancy charger just says 'Null' when I insert them. I discovered that if I put them in my old simple charger it kickstarts them into life.
K3iii, K3ii, K-5, K-x, DA150-450mm, DA16-85WR, DA16-45, DA18-55WR, DA18-135WR, DA35 F2.4, M100mm F4 Macro, DA55-300mm, FA50mm 1.4, AF360 Flash, AF540 Flash

Do you have something permanently switched on such as GPS?
Best regards, John

I read somewhere that "dead" batteries need to have a little bit of charge in them to tell the charger "I need charging" Sometimes you can put a bit of charge in by linking another battery of the same sort via a couple of wires across + to + and - to - and it gives it a little boost. I've never tried it myself but it is supposed to work.
CHEERS Vic.
Born again biker with lots of Pentax bits. Every day I wake up is a good day. I'm so old I don't even buy green bananas.

No. GPS is always on when I am taking photos, but GPS tracking I rarely use.

CHEERS Vic.

Did this with a standard 9V battery to 'jump start' a battery on a Panasonic. Worked a treat. You only need to apply the 'donor' batteries charge for around a minute or less. Had to repeat the process a few times.

Hi JohnX. Thanks for confirming my post. So it does work after all.
Same surname?? Are you a long lost cousin???????. A long time ago when I still lived in South Shields I checked on the name Cross and there wasn't that many of us "UP NORTH" but quite a lot in the "SOUTH". There's not that many the Kettering area where I've lived since 1969.

Yep, same surname. No known family North of London, but who knows?
