Pentax 67 for APSC
Best regards, John
Also, the resolution of the 67 lenses may be a bit on the low side to get the best out of an APS-C format.
Do you mean the resolution would be low because of the 67 format, or because of the age of the design?

That doesn't stop 67 and 645 lenses being useful though, usually on full frame. Whether or not APS-C is starting to be a step too far I'm not sure.
Best regards, John

You would probably be better off using the Samyang 24mm tilt-shift lens available in K-mount. I use it on a K1 and it is excellent.
I already have a cheap tilt shift adapter. But experiments with shift and a couple of FF lenses were unsuccessful, due to the small circle of coverage. Just wondered if, without costing a lot of money, I could make use of the larger circle offered by medium format, for what might be a bit of a whim. It seems not

Free lensing. You don't attach the lens to the camera. Takes a bit of practise but has the advantage of being able to use any lens you like. No adapter required.

Regarding Pentax 67 lenses on Pentax aps-c bodies, I have briefly used some of my Pentax 67 lenses on the K-5 with the Pentax 67-K adapter. The top Pentax 67 lenses like the SMC 45/4, SMC 105/2.4 and the SMC 165/2.8 should be just as good on an aps-c Pentax as they are on the Pentax 67. Forum member "mikeyscope" (Mike Dickson) uses many of his Pentax 67 lenses on Pentax DSLRs for outstanding astrophotography, so resolution and sharpness should not be an issue. The main disadvantage with these 67 lenses are that they are big and heavy.

The Pentax 67 SMC 45/4 is the widest rectilinear lens in the Pentax 67 system, and is among the best performers. Over at the American forum there is a member "Desertscape" (Steve Rasmussen) who has high competence with the P67 lenses and has written reviews of many of them. His review of the SMC 45/4 is very informative, also about sharpness and other characteristics.

One reason I'm interested is for use on a tilt/shift adapter, where I read the larger coverage circle of medium format is an advantage in the shift mode.
When trying the shift with 35mm FF lenses the coverage circle does not allow use of a full tilt due to "vignette".
I'd also appreciate any help with working out the relative focal length of a 67 lens on an APSC body.
I understand Pentax made an adapter for 67 lens to M42 mount (Pentax P-Adapter) so it must be possible.
