Pentax 24-90mm ; Photozone.de reviews
I still use mine on my film cameras, when I use my film cameras that is!
Best regards, John
It's a well-travelled lens, incidentally. I got it from California, so it's probably happy to be back in the sun, sharing a glass of Gata and some sardines assadas.

I am still waiting to get my fingers on my FA50 mm f1.4

I used my 18-55 on my *ist D at the weekend on Skye, what a stonking little lens. I am glad I sold my Sigma 28-105 with the *ist DL now

You definitely won't be disappointed

I have the SMC-F version and it's probably my all time favourite. The bokeh and "rendition" are just simply sublime. And yes, the 24-90 is lovely as a single lens.
It's soooo hard to decide what to take in the camera bag!

eventually you'll get a nice "photographer's list"
Or is it a "photographer's hunchback"?

Need a much bigger bag

It's the third lens to surpass my expectations; the first one was the 18-55, that I thought was rubbish (for being a kit lens) but ended up being quite good, then the A 50mm F/1.4 (no comments necessary for this one).
The 24-90 is sharp, has very little CA, it's nice to handle, focuses quickly and has a beautifull bokeh, even wide open (I love the 18-55's bokeh too)! Yes, the barrel does wobble a bit, and you can sometimes tell when autofocusing, but I also cannot see any effect on the pictures. As I like my zooms a little longer than wider, this is my perfect lens when there can be only one!
Also, remember to take a look at http://www.photozone.de 's reviews of Pentax glass. There's some nice things in there to see.
