Do you guys think that $424 USD is a decent price for the sigma 10-20mm?

Depends on which of the 10-20s you are talking about -in the UK the cheapest oldest s/h 4.0-5.6 non HSM version goes for around 230/$300 US whilst a new copy of the f3.5 HSM version is about 329/$450 US.

Prices vary according to which country in which you live.
K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

What about the 16-45? There's one on sale for about $125 USD so I was thinking about getting it.
In all honesty as long as it's better than my kit lens I'll be okay lol

I have the 16-45 and would recommend it. It has f4 throughout the range and at that price seems good value

I have the Samyang and love it - I have to force myself to stop using it all the time

I recommend the 16-45 too, sharp with great colours but also compact and light and at the price you see them going for at the moment they are bargains!

So, do you need another standard range zoom (very good though it is from what I read), or a wide-angle zoom - which is what your original question asked?

Well, tbh all I actually wanted was a decent lens to replace my kit. It fell down a cliff and into a waterfall I just thought a wide angle lens would be a nice replacement as I already have a couple of prime 50mm-135mm lenses.
