Glad you like it John - that's my favourite too, and is currently gracing my desktop wallpaper!

These are really nice - natural looking, and I'm not sure I could pick a favourite.

Thanks for the nice comments, I think it's interesting that there is a mix of which shots are your respective favourites.
Well...I'm about to complicate things...took her out for an adventure this afternoon, and I'm not sure anymore about a favourite as I can't decide.
As usual, 18-55MKII F8
And an odd one out....I pic I had to grab as I was driving past last night:

From the first set, I like the movement and fun captured in shot 2... in this set, the first shot does it for me... it's a 'child's eye view'... I like the one of the gate too.

All great shots and great memories of you daughter, It just shows you how underestimated the kit lens is,

Cheers guys.
You are not wrong at all there Jack, the kit lens can be underestimated at times in favour of the 16-45 and the newer 17-70; though I've come to the conclusion that I have a very good copy of the kit lens.
Because of this I have'nt really been too interested in a replacement at those focal lengths, though the 17-70 does tempt me.

I really like these, so natural, well done, but as you say the kit lens is often overlooked in favour of something which is believed to be better and in most cases more expensive. Most lenses can out perform our ability anyway. Hurrah for the kit lens as you have kindly shown us.
