Ok, apologies as I'm still playing with the 26mm extension tube created from a TC. Using the K1 mkII and all hand held, shutter speed, 1/250th and 1/500th, f3.5 I believe I used
But I was more than pleasantly surprised how good the SMC-M 135mm f3.5 was, here are some pictures rushed out with only some contrast added to 2 of them in GIMP before scaling them down;
1.

2. Then another insect arrived;

The M 135/3.5 has always been regarded as an ok lens, nothing more. Probably because they sold in plentiful numbers and were very reasonably priced.

I think it is a stellar lens that has never disappointed me on film or digital.

These are, to take pschlute's comment a tad further, these are 'stellar' images. So good.
Be well, stay safe.

I think it only gets knocked because of its f2.8 brother in either A or K format.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Never mind the lens, these are seriously good pictures (and they get better when clicking on them and viewing the large version).
