A wonderfully evocative set of the seaside in a winter storm (OK, it's still autumn but it looks like winter...). I lived in Brighton for a few years, was there when the West Pier closed in 1975. Subsequently lived in Weymouth for a while. The grey sky, the crashing waves, water flowing onto the esplanade... you've caught the feel of it superbly.
Hard to pick favourites, but if pushed it's Nos. 2 and 4 for the power of the sea, No. 7 for its bleakness of the beach and distant seafront and No. 8 for capturing the magnificent decay and desolation of a once grand old lady.

Yes, for me too... whole set feels deliciously wet and windy...

A great set and I really like the first four.
(Was it a good test of Pentax WR or did the gear have some extra protection?)

Great set from what looks to be the perfect day at the seaside! 2,4,5,8 stand out.

Thanks all - as another tog came up to me and said only 'mad dogs and photographers' come out on a day like this! It was great!
Pentax WR only! The issue was more about keeping spray and rain off the front of the lens.

Boy they really convey the conditions - great shooting - difficult to pick favourites, they just work so well together as a set

A wonderfully atmostpheric set of images, Andy. I particularly like the structures in 6, 8, 9, 10 (6 most strikingly), but the first four work mighty well too - with delicately subdued colours to boot, bringing a touch of softness in contrast with the raging weather.
