This looks good, but I can't commit until the end of the week. What are your plans for the day? Will you stay in Pickering or wherever, say, or travel on an actual train? I've just looked at the website and it looks as though train tickets have to be bought in advance by post, which would not leave me enough time.
Regards,
John
Carl is on business till the end of the week.
I'm meeting him at the small car park in Vivis Lane, Pickering 08.45-09.00 on Saturday. Last time we had a Day Rover ticket between Pickering and Grosmont allowing us to station hop during the day. From memory I think we just bought the ticket on the day and we have a similar plan for this year.
Hope you can make it.

Hope you can make it. We shall be riding the rails - tickets are always available on the day - they just (for obvious reasons) encourage you to pre-purchase.
As Barrie said - we are aiming for Vivis lane car park 0845-0900. If you decide you are going and have concerns about the meeting place/ time - pm me and we can exchange mobile numbers.

Sorry we had lost you when we came out of the repair shop. Then we spent too much time in the High Street and missed the train.
I think we were just out of sync after that.

Knaresborough, North Yorks
I shall be there (as usual) - probably on the Saturday. Of all the 40s events in the North, to me this is by far and away the best - steam trains - live music - re-enacting - parades - period vehicles etc etc
Anybody fancy a bit of a group get-together?
