If you go round that area, call in at the George Hotel in Chollerford. They have (or had) a whole collection of Ansell Adams prints of Hadrians Wall and surrounding area in the snow.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

The choice of B&W for processing is spot on for these (IMO), the final shot I like in particular - not sure if you've "de-fished" it but you've made it look so natural

Id agree with that, cracker.
I know what i like, If not always why.

The 17-28 FE is a very useful lens and I've always thought it was under rated when it was available..

First clear vista from the approach path. (43mm Ltd)
As you walk down from the West (31mm Ltd)
Looking back to the West (17-28mm FE)
It's a good old hike around this area. Had lunch in the Twice Brewed Inn.
Now need to return when the leaves are there.
