Hi everyone, I just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm very new to DSLR photography, given that I've only just bought myself a K-X, but I've been messing around with digital photography for about ten years.

I'm 28 and currently studying with the Open University for a humanities degree, in between doing freelance writing (I can hardly count it as a job when I love it so much, lol!). I live in York, so my main photographic haunts are in North Yorkshire.

I'd really appreciate any advice that anyone can give me!
Best wishes,
Martine

Welcome Martine, as was said before you're in the right place. The people here have been wonderful to me and I know they will the same for you. I find and found reading forum entries to be an unexpected and tremendous help. Surprising what you will learn. Also keep an eye on the Gallery postings. Much to be learned here also.

Once more, welcome aboard and I look forward to seeing/reading your posts.

Cheers,

Stephen
I gladly welcome C & C's. Being foggy minded they really help me learn.
