I've read around on Tamrons sharpness so this could be an cracker. Was set on a Sigma 18-50 2.8 but waiting until March just might be worth it. (Only thing is, which March in the UK

)

There is a thread on another forum where they are getting very excited about the new 70-200mm 2.8.

With the crop factor, that is effectively a 100-300mm 2.8, and if the pricing here is to be believed:-
