Just received my battery grip, in the box is the battery grip & large grip for the camera. The tray has an inner tray so you can use both D-LI109 & D-LI90.

Here's some photos and comparing it to K3ii.

Thanks for these photos, they show the items well, and the comparison to the gripped K3 is interesting. There's a real difference in that right hand side shape for the fingers .... I'm sure that after the K7 (like the K3 with the deep indent) I would find it quite a different feel. But the grip adds substantially to the size and, no doubt, the ease of handling.

What's it like without one of those grips installed on it?

To be honest, in landscape the grip is poor, especially compared to the K3II. In portrait it is just as good.

Cheers! Does it compare to using a film ME / MX which didn't have a grip (presuming you've held those!)

Never had a Pentax film camera, had a Olympus OM-10 which feels nothing like the KP.

Thanks for the comparison, very handy. The KP does look fairly slick, even gripped.

I purchased both my KP and grip from the official Ricoh store, it says pre-order but they sent mine straight away.
