Hi, just had to buy my self a new lens was going for the pentax 18-135 and changed my mind and went for the Tamron SP AF 28-75 F2.8 it looks a nice piece of kit but have not got out to use it yet, does anybody have this lens and can tell me if it ticks the boxies

I have it in Canon mount but I only use EOS film cameras as they don't suffer from poor dynamic range like their digital Canon cousins It's certainly enjoyable to use and feel good in the hand.

I haven't seen any scans back from it yet anyway as I got it quite recently, though I did have a brief chance to use it on a friend's digital SLR (100D, ugghhh). The results looked quite sharp but at ISO 3200 they were very noisy due to the poor sensor, so not a great analysis of what the lens can do.
