That's standard on the IIs

Just done the update using the file from the uk site, took longer to do than any other I've done so make sure your battery is full charged before you attempt it folks.

Good advice!
I knackered a C@$N*N 50D updating on about two thirds battery once!
My own fault though...

Done although windows security and Norton tried to stop it. My K30 better take some good photos now or there will be trouble.
A very happily using a K30. My wife says I have too many lenses.

You use Norton?!!

I'll wait until I have a fully charged battery before considering any updates...

yup It does not seem too bad, apart from blocking Pentax (sorry Ricoh) downloads.

Amazingly some people still do. I topped using it well over 10 years ago. it might as well be a virus the way it bloats the machine. Hideous software

I was on a bus browsing on an iphone. The link doesn't have dates of when the file was posted, so it's hard to know if it's a new firmware update or if the link will take you to a version you already have....

All good, quick and painless.
Went from version 1.03 to 1.05 and was quite a quick update also.
Thanks all for the heads up
