At todays rates E2100 is £1876
Interestingly , while we lack a third party alternative, CaNikon have the Sigma 85mm1.4 current price is £899 .
In competition Pentax are offering the Pentax favourite FA77mm1.8 at £687.
Little if anything to be concerned about there, In fact superb choices.

I've received an email from Clifton cameras this morning confirming a launch price of £1999
Lots of gear - but not a lot of idea!

I begin to worry about the new APS-C camera, if I remember correctly the K-3II and the KP were originally around the £1300 mark when new so if they start thinking 2K then Pentaxfolk are going to get a big shock.

The *istD originally came out at £1200-1300 IIRC, with an FA-J 18-35mm lens. The only competitors on launch IIRC were the Canon EOS 10D and Nikon D100; then the EOS300D and D70 came out and broke through the £1000 barrier; those were the days a 1GB card would set you back over £100!!
I bought my *istD for £600 at Mifsuds in early 2005.
As for the 85mm, I will keep with my FA*85 and 77Ltd.
